Once the ice is safe, we fish for multiple species of fish however trout are our focus in the winter months. A typical day of ice fishing with Fair Chase Guide Service offers clients multiple opportunities to catch fish using tip ups and jig poles. If chasing trout is not what you are looking for, we also fish mouth-watering panfish. Panfishing often times can be very exciting with multiple flags up at once as well as seemingly almost non-stop jig fishing action!
We are "kid oriented." Teaching the sport of Ice Fishing to the next generation is very rewarding to us. We are aware that children sometimes need more action, so with kids we fish panfish such as perch and pickerel which is better suited for their needs. If chasing trout is what you would prefer but have children that will be accompanying you on your outing with us, we will take you to a lake that offers a mixed bag of both trout and panfish.
